Long Story Short - Music Video Launch

On the evening of Tuesday 2nd February the launch party for the Long Story Short, Never had a Tender Moment music video was held at Jaijaz.

Long Story Short were formed in 2008 & boasting a sound akin to trend du jour bands like Paramore. Comprised of John, Bronte, Dani, Jayden & Jasmine Long Story Short is a band that has been making waves among their peers. They're an eclectic bunch comprised of a London born surf lifesaver, Aussie ex-world medal winning gymnast, a sister duo who could rival The Veronica's & a home grown Auckland drummer. With their combination of catchy tunes, great vocals and killer looks, this band has been hitting all the right notes. They are extremely talented recently taking 2nd place at the North Shore Regional Rockquest finals & placing in the top 14 bands opening the National Finals for 2009.

Jaijaz have teamed up with Long Story Short, and have produced their first music video, Never had a tender Moment which was filmed on Bethels Beach in December 2009.

For Jai Ivarsson, General Manager of Jaijaz it is a dream come true. Jai developed the concept for Jaijaz in 1995 whilst studying jazz guitar at the Canberra School of Music. He believed that there was a better way for musicians to realise their dreams than by selling their souls to a record label, never making a career from their music. He believed there was a better way of doing things.

Jaijaz was eventually formed in 2002 and has focussed to date on supporting small businesses with this same philosophy. The Never had a Tender Moment music video is the first step into applying this philosophy to the music industry.

"It was awesome launching the video with the band and their friends and family" says Jai. "They were so fantastic to work with and its great to be teamed up with a band that has such potential."

With the launch deemed a success by all, Jaijaz is working with the Auckland School of Rock and is looking forward to producing more music videos for other NZ up and coming bands.
